She has made wedding cakes for Hollywood stars, professional footballers and celebrity chefs and supplied cakes to weddings at dozens of exclusive venues including Blenheim Palace, The Ritz, London Zoo and South Lodge. She offers a personal and professional service throughout the process from initial design consultation to final delivery.
Purita trained in hotel management and hospitality at the internationally-renowned Cesar Ritz Institut Hotelier in Switzerland and studied alongside top patisserie chefs at the Hotel George V in Paris. She worked in the hotel industry in Windsor, Berkshire, and in West Sussex, building a wealth of experience and full understanding of weddings and celebrations. Her knowledge of all things chocolate was enhanced through a prestigious Callebaut chocolate course in Paris and after making impressive chocolate wedding cakes for friends and chefs, this interest turned into a successful business. Purita Hyam cakes have regularly featured in leading wedding magazines such as Brides and You and Your Wedding. She loves being part of such a special occasion.
